In October, the 13th Bioelectrics Symposium was held in Rostock, Germany.
It brought together researchers from a broad range of different fields to discuss on electric stimuli in plant and mammalian cells for medical, biological or technological purposes, including Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF) or Cold Plasma. Elea was represented by Vanessa Völkel and Julian Witt, who gave an overview of different applications of PEF in the food industry and current research in that field.
