Elea is glad to announce that we were able to acquire three students with international background from universities all over Germany. In their studies they will investigate benefits and improvements for new applications, processes and products using PEF technology within the next half year.

I’m 22 years old and I’m currently studying Food Technology (B.Eng.) at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven. During my 6 month research project at ELEA, my task will be to investigate the influence of mild PEF treatment on bacterial cultures during yogurt production as an industrial application. Before I started my studies in Bremerhaven, I lived and worked in Australia for about half a year and really enjoyed the people and the culture there. Consequently, for writing my thesis I searched for a team with an international background and a company with customers from all over the world, which brought me to Elea.

Hello, my name is Daniela, I’m studying Food Sciences at the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences. I was born in Bolivia, lived in Central and South America until I was 11 years old and spent a year in Brazil as part of my international studies. Within my master thesis project I will evaluate the influence of pulsed electric fields on the extraction and chips production from purple sweet potatoes.

I’m Gunda, I will be completing my Food Production Engineering and Business bachelor degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück with my thesis project which will investigate the potential applications of the PEF technology within the beer brewing process. I grew up in Ireland, with 18 I moved to Germany, during my studies I spent half a year in Chile and Spain. Now I enjoy being part of an international team with global customers here at Elea.
